Image data is captured as pulses of linewidth mapped to a single spiral line. This line is a contiguous spiral, like the groove of a record, growing at a rate engineered to induce moiré (cause interference patterns to appear) in any copy or scan.
SpiraLok™ screens are best used in one colour applications because of their propensity to moiré when combined with any other screen.
